Numbers 14:20-23

"The LORD replied, “I have forgiven them, as you asked. Nevertheless, as surely as I live and as surely as the glory of the LORD fills the whole earth, not one of the men who saw my glory and the miraculous signs I performed in Egypt and in the desert but who disobeyed me and tested me ten times— not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath to their forefathers. No one who has treated me with contempt will ever see it."

Oftentimes, we become so focused on fighting that we are unable to hear the voice of our Heavenly trainer calling out to us from the corner. For some reason, we think that we can stand in the center of the cage and go toe to toe with the enemy on our own. During those rounds, God will allow us to be hit, punched or kicked in the face in order to get our attention. Ouch!

During the Cage fight in the wilderness, this is the way God spoke to Israel. In round 14 of Numbers, He directed His fighters into the championship. However, they were scared of the fighters there, so they tapped out in the first round. As a result, the Lord told the Israelites they'd "by no means see the championship" for 40 years, until after that generation had died (v. 23).

They were devestated and decided to change their fighting style. Sadly, though, it was too late; the bell had already rang. And the fighters were distraught with grief because of what they had missed.

Do you think God had their attention? Absolutely. The next time He gave his fighters a command from the corner, don't you think they listened a bit more intently?

Tragically, tapping out is rather common in such situations. Instead of looking to your Heavenly trainer during the difficult rounds of the "good fight", we are quick to throw blame punches.

Make no mistak about it...God is perfectly willing to allow us to be punched in the face with adversity to realign our fighting style with His. Consider the difficulties in your "good fight"--is your trainer from Heaven trying to tell you something?

Remember, it is called a fight for a reason. However, we fight from victory not for victory. Keep Fighting!

Prayer:

Righteous Father, In Jesus name, I thank you that you love me enough to allow me to be hit when I drop my guard in Christ. May your perfect will be done. Amen

EFC - PRIDE VS HUMILITY

# 1 Ranked light-heavy weight “Humility” and Anointed Fighter from TEAM SALVATION, trained in the art of Chirst-jit-su, was coming off a 100 fight winning streak in the EFC.

When Anointed Fighter Magazine “The Way Authority”, asked him about his recent success, the humble Anointed Fighter directed all credit to the Christ-jit-su Grand Master, Jesus Christ. He said...

“I can do all things through him who gives me strength”
(Php. 4:13)

Answering the bell, “PRIDE” started off fast with a flying “Look how important I am” High kick, but “Humility” defended and answered with “Expose-the-Truth” punches.

Surprisingly much of the contest was fought from the “Structured Religion” clinch as the Anointed fighter attacked with knees of knowledge to the legs and body.

“Pride” looked confident in his “Arrogant” standup, landing shots, but the Anointed Fighter tripped the sinner to the mat several times throughout the match.

“Humility” passed “Prides” Ego-guard and took his back several times, but couldn’t capitalize on his position.

The Second and Third rounds mirrored the first with the Christ-jit-su expert controlling “Pride” with superior
“Word-of-God” technique, inflicting a lot of damage, with his opponent hurt, “Humility” secured an awesome standing “Arm-Bar of Truth” forcing the referee to stop the fight.

“Pride” would not submit – But the judge inside the Ring stopped the Fight to save the sinner from getting his Arm snapped like a TOOTH PICK !
